 Nozzles provide focus and acceleration to the abrasive stream generated by a Comco MicroBlaster®. As the air and media pass through the nozzle, they are channeled into a concentrated pattern that enhances the cutting abilities and precision of the process.
Comco offers two lines of nozzles - Standard and Hi/Performance to meet different user requirements. Both lines feature:

The Right Nozzle for Your Application
The size and shape of the nozzle opening affects the spray pattern of the media. That’s why our nozzles come in an array of shapes and sizes for a wide range of applications. The straight round style nozzle with openings ranging from .015" to .125" meets most application requirements. For applications where a wide sweep or fan of abrasive is required however, a rectangular nozzle is recommended.
Some applications need to have the abrasive stream directed into areas not accessible with a straight nozzle. For these hard to reach places we have developed several angled and extended length nozzles.
Large nozzles from .060" to .125" in diameter are used with the PowerFlo® model PF2400 and DirectFlo™ model DF1400 blasters. These nozzles accommodate the increased powder flow of production-type blasters in precise, controlled streams.
We also can develop custom nozzles for special applications.
Hi/Performance Nozzles
Comco expertly engineered Hi/Performance nozzles to provide increased resistance to wear, longer life and better blasting characteristics. They have a tighter focus, faster cut rate, and longer life than standard nozzles. Hi/Performance nozzles are perfect for automation – they are ideally suited to applications that use multi-nozzle blasting through the use of splitters.
- 20% tighter focus of the abrasive = less over spray and a cleaner hole
- 25-30%greater efficiency in the cut rate
- Increased wear resistance 3-5 times over standard nozzles
- Direct replacement for standard nozzles; easily fit into the same hand pieces
Ring Nozzle for Wire Applications
The Ring Nozzle, powered by a DirectFlo or PowerFlo, spreads the abrasive flow uniformly over a circular cross section. This eliminates the need for rotation of the part as required in a single nozzle setup and creates a more consistent finish than multiple-nozzle fixtures.
Integrated with reel-to-reel systems, the Ring Nozzle can be used to treat selective sections of a length of wire. It is equally effective for blasting the ends of wire with exacting precision.
